Ubierając się myślałam o 'Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow’. Nie jest to oczywiście dosłowna (nienawidzę tego słowa –>) stylizacja 'na film’, raczej luźna inspiracja alternatywnymi i komiksowymi latami trzydziestymi.
Ale będąc w Ogrodach Botanicznych wiedziałam już, że prawdziwą , podświadomą inspiracją były Kiziaki. Znaczy te, wiewiórki. Kocham je, chcę je przytulać, miziać, karmić i mieć jedną w domu. Jednocześnie czuję przed nimi respekt, zawsze jak na jakąś cmokam i zachęcam do podejścia mam w głowie wizję, że rzuca się na mnie i wydrapuje mi oczy.
Wyobraźnia wszak jest prawdziwym Darem Bożym.
English: While composing the outfit in the morning I had 'Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow’ on my mind. It is not really an outfit that would be a direct quotation from the film but more like generally inspired by the film’s style and the alternative and comic book-like 1930s.
Then when we went to the Botanic Gardens I knew who must have been the real and subconscious inspiration – fluffy little squirrels. I love them, I want to hug them, I want to play with them and I want to have one as a pet. At the same time I have some serious respect for them. Every single time I am summoning one I have terrible visions as it approaches me, including them scrathing my face and poking my eyes out.
Imagination truly is a gift from the God Almighty.
