I am not talking about this too often, but Film and Television Studies and things related (such as GUST) is not my only occupation at Uni. I’m actually doing Joint Honours with History. It is more of an intellectual exercise and hobby than what I want to do in life, but nevertheless, I am a half-historian-to-be 🙂
The past is the great source of inspiration on many levels to me. Sometimes fashion-wise as well. So when I found this sweater in secondhand shop I instantly felt mesmerized. I didn’t know how to wear it and whether I will look any good in it, but after much hesitation I decided to take it. Also, it was £1 😀

Today’s outfit is a tribute to Edward Plantagenet a.k.a. The Black Prince, the brave yet unfortunate Prince of Wales.
There was an episode of 'Ally McBeal’ in which she said that one can judge a person according to whether he/she likes the film 'Moulin Rouge’ or not. I would say you can do the same by asking who does he/she support in The Hundred Years War. I am a vile person and wholeheartedly support England and young Edward III. But this is probably also because he was the son of the She-Wolfe of France, whom I adore as a strong medieval woman. Also, because I kind of think she must have been pretty, first, because she was daughter of Philip the Fair, second, because this representation is stuck in my head:
What is there not to love?
So yes, for me it is the lion over fleur-de-lys.
